2026-27 Locomotive Season

If your player participated in any of our Fall/Winter regular season programs (8U, Recreational, or Competitive) during the 2025–26 season, you will be able to register and pay your deposit as soon as the registration opens.

Every player must register with USA Hockey and obtain a new USAH # for the 2026-2027 season.

Players who were not members of our organization during the 2025–26 season are required to complete the New Player Application.

Once submitted, Lafayette Locomotive will review the application and verify compliance with applicable player transfer rules for each age division. Please be aware of the following CAHA regulations:

• CAHA Policy 10.1.1.1: No transfers shall be able to register until July 1st.
• CAHA Policy 10.1.1.2: If a member organization receives an inquiry from a potential transfer, they shall notify the transfer’s current member organization Director or President in writing within 3 business days.

Policy Exceptions:

Certain exceptions to the new player transfer policy may apply, including but not limited to:

• Out-of-state transfers
• Tier I transfers
• Tier II transfers

Any player who does not hold USA citizenship is required to submit a completed transfer form to USA Hockey. This must be processed and approved before a player can participate in regular season games. This requirement includes players who hold permanent resident cards (green cards).

1. Pay in Full Option

Families have the option to pay the entire balance in full at the time of registration.

• 16U AA & 18U AA (Tryout Fee): The 16U AA and 18U AA tryout fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. There are no other fees due for 16U AA and 18U AA candidates during initial registration, unless the player also wants to opt-in to be considered for one of our lower-level teams in case the player doesn't make the AA team.

2. Payment Plan Option

This option splits your total balance into manageable installments.

• Note on Late Registration: If you register after a scheduled payment date has already passed, any overdue amounts will be automatically bundled and added to your upfront initial payment. The regular payment schedule will then continue as normal.

Payment Schedules by Division

• 8U Open (Full Balance) & 8U Select (Deposit)
• Structure: Divided into 8 even installments.
• Timeline: Upfront initial payment, followed by 7 subsequent monthly payments running from July 30, 2026, to January 30, 2027.
• 8U Select (Final Balance)
• Structure: Split into 5 installments.
• Timeline: Upfront initial payment, followed by 4 even monthly payments running from October 30, 2026, to January 30, 2027.
• 10U–18U (Deposit + Add-ons)
• Structure: Split into 4 installments.
• Timeline: Upfront initial payment, followed by 3 even monthly payments running from June 30, 2026, to August 30, 2026.
• 10U–18U (Final Balance)
• Structure: Split into 6 installments.
• Timeline: Upfront initial payment, followed by 5 even monthly payments running from September 30, 2026, to January 30, 2027.

Each family has the option to purchase an insurance policy from Vertical Insure.

Important Financial Note: Please be aware that Lafayette Hockey Club does not provide refunds. If you registered using a payment plan, you remain responsible for any remaining scheduled payments. Any claims for covered incidents must be filed directly with Vertical Insure.
