Drop-IN Sessions
The Carlston Ice Arena at the Lafayette Y is a community rink where people of all ages, abilities, and skill levels find a safe, inclusive environment to learn, grow, and build confidence. Our programs go beyond developing skaters—we are empowering youth, nurturing positive values, and fostering lifelong friendships to build a stronger community. From our youngest to our adult skaters, this is a place where everyone can find their passion, connect with others, and show some heart.
Adult Drop-In Hockey
Non-checking, recreational pick-up games for all skills. No refs—just fun, social hockey for all adults.
Stick & Puck
Fine-tune your skills! Practice puck handling, shooting, and skating in a casual, open-ice setting.
Freestyle
Drop-in practice for figure skaters (Level 5+) to perfect jumps, spins, and edges on open ice.
Skate Conditioning
These drop-in classes give skaters strength and cardio workouts while improving skating skill.
Figures Class
Master edge control through circular patterns, turns, and loops to build elite balance and precision.
Public Skating
Fun and fellowship on the ice! Bring family and friends of all ages for a great time at the rink.
